Dialogue


The main component I worked on was the dialogue. It was important to the concept of our game to help deliver the story though, we couldn't flesh it out for this semester due to time constraints. It allows for dialogue to be stored in the game objects and is made to be easily adaptable. I think it turned out pretty well, being mainly used for the tutorial right now. I like the typewriter effect which types out the text rather than the line appearing all at once. This can be easily configured to make each line appear as fast or slow as desired.

The main resource I used was this site: https://gamedevbeginner.com/dialogue-systems-in-unity/#dialogue_ui. It helped me create the framework for the dialogue and other features that could be added in the future.
